That highway track you mentioned, it wouldn't by any chance be Special Stage Route 7, would it? The first time I raced there, I was using cockpit view in a Lamborghini Gallardo... My jaw still hurts for hitting the floor so hard.

Great review. Personally, I think GT5 is a diamond in the rough. It has its fair share of flaws, but all is forgiven when you take your car to the track. The driving is just superb!

GT5 would make an excellent starting point for GT6 as a PS4 launch title. PD can recycle the physics engine, track geometry, premium cars and the outstanding lighting engine. They just need to iron out the small problems and add content. With the extra processing power, it would be easy to fix stu...

Of course the PS3 is gonna "wane", as developers turn to piracy free platforms like the Wii, the Xbox 360 and particularly the PC. Thats just common sense. /s

I'm not sure I get your point. Are you trying to say that because GT5 didn't sell as much as you thought it would have, that means it's not as good as it could have been? Or are you saying that the quality of a game is measured by the number of copies sold, and that's what determines the best racing game? Because I seriously doubt Shift 2 will be able to push the same numbers as GT5.

Also, besides Call of Duty, how many games sold 5 million in one month this g...

So what's your point? Quality software is unnecessary, profit is all that matters? Bobby Kotick must be proud!

And you call yourself a gamer?

I wish I was as optimistic as you guys, but the way I see it, as games are developed with an increasing focus on motion controls and the casual market (where the bigs bucks are), all that will be left for the core gamers are sequels after sequels and mostly shooters at that. There will be no room for financially risky projects like Mirror's Edge (which, in my opinion, remains one of the finest gaming experiences of this gen), Little Big Planet or Demon's Souls.

Forza certainly doesn't have jaggies in weather conditions, no arguments there. Then again, Forza doesn't have weather conditions. Which one is worse: jaggies or the complete absence of a feature?

Unsurprisingly, the author of the article is also the contributor.

Looks like fanboy rants are news by N4G standards. *sigh*

I thought the level design in Sonic 4 was great. It's basically the only redeeming quality in the entire game, since you're right about everything else. The terrible physics and unresponsive controls absolutely killed it for me. People talk about Alan Wake and GT5, but Sonic 4 was the biggest disappointment for me in 2010. It's an iPhone game, and it shows.

Equivalent to HD graphics? My friend, you have no idea...

That is one bizarre analogy.

Are you talking about Sonic 4? Because Episode 1 was just an iPhone game ported to consoles, complete with boring graphics, forgettable soundtrack, atrocious physics and annoying controls. Overpriced too.

You still have hopes for Episode 2?

Finally some recognition for Vanquish. I can't understand why Bayonetta got so much hype, and Vanquish was so overlooked.

Dear Mr. Nefertis, the addiction you are referring to is quite common and rest assured, it's nothing to be embarrassed about. Millions of people around the world have experienced the same symptoms with no known adverse effects. Feel free to indulge yourself with the pleasures of GT5 for a couple of hours everyday. You will feel better, you will smile more often, and the people around you will react with a positive attitude. Long story short, your life will be happier with GT5.

If Sony picked up the servers for Demon's Souls, that would send a powerful message to the real gamers (the ones who were gaming before all this waggle silliness). You don't have to spend hundreds of millions on advertising, in hopes of getting good publicity and feedback.

I think you're about an hour away from the ending, maybe an hour and a half. And you don't have a choice but to stick to the main missions anymore. Once you set foot on Ilos you will not return to the Normandy until Mass Effect 2.

I have mixed feelings about ME1. I liked the game at the beginning, then it got progressively boring and repetitive. It took me a while to get back into the game, but I loved every second of it after the moment I landed on Ilos.

I really need to pick up ME2, but I haven't seen any copies at the local retailers.
